Invoice GAP Insurance Plus+

Fortis GAP Insurance is mainly available in two forms, the first being Invoice GAP Insurance Plus+ (aka (RTI). In the event of your vehicle being written off, Invoice GAP Insurance Plus+ (RTI) will pay the difference between your motor insurance payout and either the amount that you originally paid for the vehicle OR the Finance Agreement Settlement Figure - whichever is the greater!

Unlike other policies on the market, our policy pays you a cash lump sum, leaving you free to combine it with your motor insurance payout and source your own replacement vehicle. It is also worth noting that we do not force you to buy a vehicle from a dealership of our choice, you are truly free to choose your own replacement vehicle and the supplier of it.

Our Fortis Invoice GAP Insurance Plus+ policy is available to cover a New or Used Car/Light Van (up to 6 years old) with a value of up to £100,000.00 that has been purchased from a UK Motor Dealer within the last 105 days.

Replacement GAP Insurance

The second type of Fortis GAP Insurance is Replacement GAP Insurance (aka VRI).

Whereas our Invoice GAP Insurance policy pays the difference between your Motor Insurance payout and the original price you bought the vehicle for, our Replacement (VRI) policy covers the difference between your Motor Insurance payout and the cost of replacing the vehicle New-For-Old at the time of claim - that's even if the replacement vehicle costs more than the price you originally purchased it for.

Just as with our Invoice (RTI) policy, this policy also pays you a cash lump sum and also leaves you free to source your own replacement vehicle and the supplier of it.

Our Replacement GAP Insurance policy is available to cover a brand new vehicle, or a pre-registered vehicle having travelled less than 500 miles, which is less than 105 days old and has a value less than £100,000.00 that has been purchased from a UK Motor Dealer within the last 105 days.
